Tucked just off the Gold Coast Highway, Chinese Smorgasbord has been serving locals and travellers their favourite Cantonese classics for years. A family-run kitchen, an enormous menu, and the kind of welcome that turns first-time guests into regulars.

Great casual dining

We were so impressed β beautifully fresh and hot takeaway, generous serves, and really tasty. I had the best Mongolian Lamb I've had in years. My friend loved the Special Fried Rice β so many prawns. Highly recommended!

Amazing food, so quick and tastes incredible. The owner is a beautiful lady and we enjoy a quick chat whenever we grab our meal. Living close, we enjoy to eat at home β but I would dine in for any occasion without hesitation.

Best Chinese Ever
Our family went here for dinner for the first time and we were not disappointed! Hot, fresh and tasty with good serving sizes. I loved that you could choose anything from the menu as part of the smorgasbord and it was cooked fresh β not sitting in bain-maries getting cold and dry.

Awesome Chinese
We have been here three times and each time it was awesome. $25 per person for all-you-can-eat. It's only a small restaurant so booking is recommended. It's not like a regular all-you-can-eat buffet β it's cooked to order so it's always fresh.

Absolutely love this place β we are here at least once a week. Cannot go wrong with any dish. Highly recommend the chicken wings and sambal chicken. It is BYO as well. Pop in and see Kerry and her family.

Greasy and little taste
There was a group of us and we had a range of starters and mains. The starters were all deep fried and the only taste was grease. The chilli pork and chilli chicken were hard to tell apart. The Singapore noodles were terrible.

Best value made-to-order takeaway
Misleading name β it's not a smorgasbord with bain-maries, and that's a good thing! I chose the $56 combination pack and it was cooked to order in literally 10 minutes. Four mains, special fried rice and spring rolls fed us all with leftovers.

I call in here every couple of Fridays and grab spring rolls and a large special fried rice as a side for dinner. Such a treat β best fried rice compared to some places close by. Will definitely have to have dinner here one night.

Stingy with All-You-Can-Eat
Many years ago this was great. Now very tight with all-you-can-eat β was told only certain dishes will come out at a time. Didn't bring out the last dish, had to ask again. I'm not even a big eater.

Our favourite Chinese on the coast has new owners so we were on the hunt for our new local. Unfortunately this isn't it. Food was okay but nothing we'd want to repeat. Average bland flavours.

Best Chinese! Hidden gem
There are so many Chinese restaurants in the area and you'd probably walk past this place. After going once it has become my favourite Chinese restaurant on the Gold Coast. The service is wonderful and so is the food.
